In the project to tackle the excessive application of fertilizers, the government is promoting new fertilizers. At present, Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) says that starting from this year, the growth of fertilizer consumption volume will be slowed down. By 2020, fertilizer application on major crops will achieve zero growth. However, this target is faced with severe challenges. MOA is studying on how to resolve this issue, such as speeding up on the registration system of new fertilizers.
